Federation of all Jamaat and Islam organisations in Coimbatore plan to conduct a signature campaign opposing the uniform civil code proposed by the BJP government at the centre. In this regard, a press meet was hosted on behalf of federation of all Jamaat and Islam organisations this morning.

Inayathullah the coordinator of the federation while interacting with the media said, “The uniform civil code which is to be passed by the BJP government is interfering with the Muslim Personal Law. Indian citizens have right to follow the religion. Muslims follow the Shariah law as per the Quran and guidance of Prophet Muhammad. The proposed law is posing danger for fellow Muslims to practice their culture. Hence it has been decided by the Federation of all Jamaat and Islam organisations to oppose proposed uniform civil code. Thus, a signature campaign is being organised.” Inayathullah said.
