AIYF petitions seeking proper distribution of essentials in fair price shops

Members of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF) party have filed a petition with the district collector seeking the proper distribution of essentials through the public distribution system at fair price shops (ration shops).

When interacting with the media, AIYF President Kalyanasundaram said, “Essential products are not stocked in fair price shops. People are sent back from the shops due to lack of stock. The government should implement a proper distribution scheme to rectify this problem. Several people are using the ration card only as an identity proof. Everything is done efficiently at the TASMAC shops. But fair price shops are not run properly. If the government does not take necessary steps to rectify this problem, we will surrender our ration cards.” Kalyanasundaram said.

The petitioners stated that essentials like Toor Dal, Urad Dal, Palm Oil, Sugar, and Wheat are not available for purchase at all times in these shops. The petitioners also stated that the concerned ministers should ensure that all products are available for sale at all times in these shops.
