Memphis police are investigating after several people were shot and a 16-year-old girl was killed at a park Tuesday night.
The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. at Zodiac Park at 5226 Zodiac in Southeast Memphis.
According to police, six suspects came up to the victims and began shooting. Five people were shot and the 16-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Two victims (one male and one female) were transported to Regional One in critical condition. The third victim was transported by a private vehicle to Baptist Desoto. No condition information was given," said police spokesman Louis Brownlee in an emailed statement.
No information was made immediately available regarding the fifth victim.
