'Manage yourself to manage the world', says PR Krishnakumar, Chancellor, Avinashilingam University.

About 7 city-based colleges are a part of Student Chapter of the Coimbatore Management Association (CMA). Today, the Avinashilingam University hosted its Meeting of Minds 2016. Various programmes like panel discussion, business quiz, interview with a CEO, just a minute were hosted as part of the programme.



‘Management education in technology driven world: Challenges ahead’ was the subject of the panel discussion. Nithyanandan Devaraaj, President and Director, Bradken India, S Prashanth, Director, Quadra Systems.net India Private Limited, Dr. P Sadhasivam, Dean, GRG School of Management Studies and Dr K Chitra, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women were speakers and Prof S Balasubramanian, Director, GRG Centre was moderator for this debate.

Addressing the gathering, O.A.Balasubramaniam ,President-CMA, one of the dignitaries who participated in this programme said “CMA is one of the oldest management associations that continues to promote the best industrial practises. As a part of the agenda, CMA hosts several events on a regular basis. This is a unique coloration of industry and institution. Such programmes will provide students an opportunity to share and gain knowledge.”



Dr P R KrishnaKumar, Chancellor, Avinashililngam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women in his address said “Only if you know to manage yourself will you know how to manage the world. But, sadly, a majority of our students set their focus on scoring high marks in academics. If one is able to gain inner knowledge, that individual will automatically be an expert manager. It is paramount that we live in our present. Additionally, young managers should have farsightedness which will enable them to up the ladder.”
