Rising pollution: No school till Class 2 in Noida, Ghaziabad

Noida: The Noida district administration on Sunday ordered the closure of classes from Nursery to Class II in all government and private schools for two days due to inclement weather and rise in pollution levels. For other students, the timings have been tweaked - classes will be held from 9am till 1pm.

In Ghaziabad too, the administration has ordered the closure of classes till Class II for two days. The order is applicable to all government and government-aided schools in the district.

However, no specific closure orders have been issued for other schools including those that are privately-owned. Safar under the ministry of earth sciences, on Sunday, recorded PM10 and PM2.5 both over 500mg/cubic meter in Noida.

The Delhi Public School decided to shut its Sector 30 Noida and Greater Noida schools for all classes on Monday though the DM's order pertained to primary classes only.
