Corporation commissioner inspects work in ward 77 and 86 in Coimbatore

Corporation commissioner and special officer Dr. K. Vijaya Karthikeyan today distributed pamphlets containing information about the abolition of mosquitoes in the 77th ward of Coimbatore corporation.

 He also inspected the various works undertaken by the sanitary workers like the application of Abate mosquito repellent and removing sources of mosquito breeding sites like old tyres, unused objects. During this visit he also supervised the cleaning work at the Chokkampudhur cremation ground. He also inspected the construction of a hospital and the tax collection centre in the 86th ward.

The corporation commissioner also inspected the newly installed biometric record maintenance system to be used by the sanitary workers working in the 86th ward. He also inspected the tax collection counter at the West zone office of the Coimbatore corporation as it was announced that the tax which is to be the corporation can be paid today with the withdrawn 500 and 1000 rupees for one day.

Assistant commissioner of Coimbatore corporation Pa. Gandhimathi, City Welfare Officer K. Santhosh Kumar, West zone Assistant corporation commissioner (Incharge) Ravi, Assistant commissioner (Revenue) Ravikumar and corporation officials accompanied the commissioner during the inspection.
