GH Coimbatore hosts fire rescue awareness programme

Coimbatore Government Hospital (GH) today hosted a fire and rescue awareness programme for its staff. Medical and non-medical staff of the GH participated in this awareness programme. Fire and rescue department personnel were at the GH this morning and they demonstrated how to deal with fire out brakes.

As  a part of this awareness drive the fire and rescue department personnel demonstrated various situations of a fire outbreak and the team also demonstrated how the staff ought to react in such situations. For the hundreds of GH staff this awareness session was an eye-opener.

Recently, a coaching centre in R S Puram in our city caught fire. The public in this area were corporative and they did the needful before the fire and rescue department personnel arrived on the location. Only awareness can help in bringing the situation under control. Such awareness programmes can go a long way in sensitizing the public on how to react when fire strikes.
