In a tragic accident, a 17 year old boy from Sundarapuram drowned while bathing in a river near Kannadiparai Kallukuli here on Saturday.
According to police, the deceased, R.Vignesh from Sundarapuram was living in the area with his family members. On Saturday, Vignesh had reportedly gone to take bath in a river near Palathurai with his friends. He reportedly drowned as he did not know to swim.
His body was retrieved and was sent the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered with the Madukkarai police and they are investigating the case.
