Noise pollutant loud speakers confiscated, cases filed on 66 individuals for creating noise pollution


Police stations at Pollachi and the neighbouring areas of Negamam, Chetipalayam and Omanagalam received complaints that noise pollutant loud speakers that have been banned are being used by individuals in a plethora of places.

In this regard, police conducted a search at various places of worship including Temples, Mosques, Churches and in residential areas. In this search the police found that 66 loud speakers were installed without obtaining permission.

Police registered a case on the persons for disturbing the public by installing loudspeakers without seeking due permissions. And, subsequently the loudspeakers that were installed were confiscated.
