Household items seized

n Monday, the static surveillance squad constituted for Tirupur North Assembly constituency seized more than 100 cookers, vegetable cutters, non-stick pans and a few other household items that were transported in two cars (Omni van).

Vehicle check

Tahsildar (Tirupur North) S. Murugadoss told The Hindu that the seizure was during the vehicle check conducted at Pooluvapattipirivu.

Traders

“The things have been transported by two traders, Karuppasamy and Navin Kumar, from Neruparichal to Tirupur. Since they did not have necessary documents to prove the details of purchase and transportation, the materials were seized,” he said.
