S.P. Velumani, Minister of Municipal Administration, Rural development, Corporations, panchayats and Panchayat Raj today inaugurated the 'EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator system' of Iswarya Fertility Centre in a function held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Coimbatore.
The 'Embryoscope time lapse system' a state-of-art technology will aid in the development of embryo fertilized .through artificial insemination. The incubator has a time lapse system installed with a high-end camera that continuously monitors the development of the embryo. This system allows the embryologists' to monitor the embryo during the developmental stages in the incubator. Embryoscope gives a better chance of sustained pregnancy after implantation of the embryo in the mother's womb.
Speaking on this Minister, S.P. Velumani, said that “People around the globe visit Coimbatore to access quality and state-of-art medical services. The present AIADMK government has allocated close to 300 crores to upgrade the medical facilities at the Coimbatore Government Hospital. The state of art 'EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator system' will be a boon to childless couples and help them fulfil their long-term dreams of having a child'
Dr. Mamtha Deenadayalan, a renowned Gynaecologist from Hyderabad hosted an interactive session with the doctors. Dr. Chinnaraj, MLA Mettupplayam, Amman Arjunan, MLA Coimbatore North and doctors from various other hospitals participated in this event. Dr. Ashokan, Dean In-charge of the Coimbatore Medical College Hospitals was also present at the event.
