Coimbatore Blood Donors Association & Food Bank distributes over 400 packets of food and 180 kgs of oranges


Food, clothing and shelter are the basic necessities of human beings. Ever since Food Bank came into being the founders and volunteers of this NGO ensures that food is distributed to the needy who cannot afford the same. Food Bank collects food that is cooked or purchased that is meant for distribution. This NGO is strictly against the concept of collecting and distributing left-over food.



Food Bank today partnered with Coimbatore Blood Donors Association and hosted a massive food distribution drive. Over 40 volunteers were involved in the collection of food cooked especially for this driver from donors and the same was distributed in multiple locations across our city. Government Hospital (GH), town hall, VOC park among other areas were covered in this drive.



Packets of food and water bottles were also distributed to the police force on duty in our city. About 180 kilograms of oranges were distributed to orphanage homes in our city today.
