'Thirukkural' the classic Tamil Sangam Literature comprising of 1330 Kurals (couplets) is an evergreen documentation by the great scholar of those days, 'Thiruvalluvar'. World-wide 'Thirukural' is respected and recognised for it's unbiased values of life applicable for everyone.
Not only in India, many nations have included these great verses proposed by Thiruvalluvar in their educational curriculum. Interestingly, a person hailing from Telangana who was very much inspired by Thirukkural is engaged in inscribing the golden verses of Thirukkural on silver tablets/slabs.

Suryavarman is from Hyderabad in the state of Telengana. Suryavarman who came to Coimbatore in 2004 has joined a company which manufactures ornaments and was trained in the art of jewel making. Today he has his own jewellery making workshop in Big Bazaar Street in Coimbatore. He is involved in manufacturing gold chains and rings with intricate designs.

Right from the beginning, Surya was inspired by the in depth of Thirukkural and the genres it touch-based. Suryavraman decided to honour and spread the message of Thirukkural to the masses. And, that's how Surya started his interest in inscribing those all the 1330 verses in slabs made of silver. So far, he has finished inscribing 110 Thirukkural verses in silver. A surprising fact is that he does not know how to read or write in Tamil.
When speaking to SimpliCity he said, “I am a school dropout. I came to Coimbatore and learned the art of jewellery making. Routine work tired me and I wanted achieve something creative yet innovative in this field. That is when I decided to inscribe Thirukkural on Silver tablets. I write Thirukkural on the silver tablets and with the help of people who know Tamil to make sure that there no mistakes in the inscriptions. After I have verifying, I start my work of inscribing it in sliver slabs.”

“I am doing this work since December, 2015. It will take three hours to inscribe a Thirukkural on the silver tablet. I am spending a part of my earning in creating this Thirukkural tablets. 300 milligrams of silver is required to create a letter. So far I have spent Rs. 30000 to inscribe 110 verses of Thirukkurals. I want to inscribe all 1330 Thirukkural verses. The silver won’t melt up to 600 degree Celsius temperature. So that the inscription will be preserved for ages. My intent of inscribing these golden words in silver plates is to preserve it for ages and a tribute to the legend 'Thiruvalluvar'.
“A lot of effort, time and money will be required to inscribe all 1330 verses in Silver. Man Tamil enthusiasts asked me to create some selected verses of Thirukkural, but my wish is that all the verses of Thirukkural should be inscribed. People who need this silver Thirukkural can contact me on the mobile number 9787750916.”
Still, there a lot of people from Tamil Nadu who fail to understand the richness and importance very verse carry with it. The efforts and intent of this young man from Telangana is laudable!
