Opening ceremony of St. Michel’s Church hosted yesterday

The opening ceremony of St. Michel’s Church that is located at town hall in the city was held last evening. Bishop Thomas Aquinas opened the doors of the new church for worship. Thousands of devotees participated in the opening ceremony.



As a part of the programme, cultural events were also hosted. Fathers of various churches participated in the event which began with hoisting of the flag. The Bishops were welcomed with a procession. Pigeons and balloons were released as part of the celebration. Following which this church was declared open.



Special prayers were hosted at this church in presence of the Bishops. Additional police men were deployed in the town hall area owing to this occasion.
