Poopmpuhar is hosting an exhibition and sale called ‘festival of lamps’ from 1 to 17 December at its store in Town Hall. On display and for sale at the venue are Kamatchi Deepam, Nanda Deepam, Malabar Deepam, Ashttothra Deepam, Annam Table Lamp, Annam Hanging Lamp, Thoonda Lamp, Sangu Chakra Lamp, Annam Plain and Nagas Lamp, Terracotta and Clay lamps, perfumed candles, Soap stone lamps and among other variety of lamps.
A special discount of 10% to 20% is offered on all the lamps sold during this exhibition.
Narendra Bose, Manager of the Poompuhar said, “A lot of people are visiting the ‘Festival of Lamps’ exhibition hosted by Poompuhar. Each year this number of visitors keeps increasing. Footfalls have increased by about 70% compared to last year. In this year’s sale Ranagathar brass lamp has been introduced. This has attracted everyone. People buy handicraft products from Poompuhar as the quality of the products are sold through Poompuhar is good. A discount of up to 20% is offered to customers. We are expecting a sale of Rs.15 lakhs this year.” he said.
