TNEB Staff from Coimbatore leave to Chennai to help in power restoration.


In the intent to aid in the rescue operations in Chennai post the Vardah cyclone, a team comprising of 60 employees from 6 zones of TNEB, Coimbatore have left to Chennai.

The team will help the staff of TNEB, Chennai in restoring power supply and re-constructing the damaged electric poles.

With only 30% of the power restored, life of people remains disrupted in Chennai. Close to 10,000 electric poles and more than 100 transformers have been reportedly damaged.

Chief Engineer,TNEB,  Jawahar advised the support team regarding the rescue measures. At around 9 pm, the team under the supervision of Executive Engineer, Murugaiya left from Coimbatore.
