CB-CID IG hosts review meeting with officials handling Sasikumar murder case.

Hindu Munnani functionary, C Sasikumar, (36) was hacked to death by some unknown persons on 22nd September in Coimbatore. The Director General of Police (DGP) T.K. Rajendran had ordered the Superintendent of Police to hand over the case diary and all evidences to the Crime Branch Crime Investigation Division (CBCID) police.



Presently, the CB-CID officials are investigating this case. CB-CID, IG, Mahesh Kumar Agarwal today conducted a review meeting at the PRS grounds in Coimbatore with the officials who are handling the case During the meet, he reviewed the evidences collected so far from the CCTV footages and also urged the case-handling officials for speedy completion of the case.

Despite, photographs of the persons who were suspected as 'could be' related with the murder, were released. still the real culprits are yet to be identified in this case. It may be recalled that during Sasikumar’s final procession, violence broke in several parts of the city causing severe damage to property. Those who were affected by the riots have claimed for compensation and arrest of those involved.
