KCT hosts 'Qubate Forum' a model of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

'Qubate Forum', a student initiative of Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), today hosted a Youth assembly, a mock model of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.



Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, KCT  presided over the session.



The mock assembly started with the formal oath taking ceremony by the Chief Minister of the Youth assembly, followed by Governor and Speakers address.

After the oath, the discussion sessions started. Topics like Jallikattu, Cauvery water issue,Executive Vs Judiciary, GST and Demonetisation were discussed.



Many novel ideas were proposed and solutions for the same were drafted. And finally a bill supporting the Centre’s Goods and Service Tax was passed with reforms ensuring the support of two third majority.



Thus the Youth Assembly was definitely a platform for the students to discuss and take on the policy makers and come up with futuristic solutions for the present issues. Also, motivates the younger generation to look deeply into the problems faced by the State and the people. Such programmes, surely embeds social responsibility and create new leaders amongst the students.

After the discussion session, the best speakers were identified and prizes were distributed to them by Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, KCT .
