The Fusion Media & Entertainments in association with Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Sunrise today organised the grand finale of Best Beard Contest. Jeevitha Managing Partner of Fusion Media said “This is the first time we are organising an event of this nature. As the world celebrated no shave number we thought to promote a noble cause through this event through No Shave November. We called for online registration for best beard contest last month and received 123 entries from across the world, out of that we selected best 12 who will compete today for the finals.”
“The judges who will be judging the grand finale are Suresh Venakatachalam from CMCH who will give a cancer awareness speech. On our panel of judges, we have Sathya N.J famous Kollywood costume designer and Edwin from Footloose and Kollywood actor Abhishek.”
“Since this contest is being hosted for a cause, we will lend a helping hand to cancer patients who are struggling to get treatment for this disease.”
Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Sunrise, past president Karthik says “Funds that are collected through No Shave November will be shared with hospitals who are treating cancer patients. It will be based on crowd funding and also we have approached sponsor. The Government Hospital (GH) in Coimbatore and GEM Hospital have agreed to support us in this noble cause. Every Thursday GH is providing treatment to patients who are suffering from cancer.”
