Ten day Coimbatore Shopping Festival 2016 courtesy CODISSIA Intec Technology Centre declared open this morning

Coimbatore district collector T. N. Hariharan, declared open the Coimbatore Shopping Festival 2016 at the CODISSIA trade fair complex this morning. This year the shopping expo that is hosted by CODISSIA Intec Technology Centre, has more than 400 stalls of exhibitors from all over India displaying a range of products like handicrafts, home decor, home appliances, apparels, furniture, organic products, accessories for Women and Men and much more.



Saradh Mishra from Mumbai is the owner of an art gallery has been participating in Coimbatore shopping festival for the past six years. His stall he has special artefacts, wall decors, statues. Speaking to SimpliCity he shares that all the products that are displayed are manufactured in-house, in their own facility in Mumbai.



This is the second time that Manikandan from Universal Lights is participating in this shopping expo. His stall has a wide collection of lights and lighting solutions for the customer to choose from. He also has a unique set of lights which are made out of wax and illuminated by a LED bulb. These lights are imported from Thailand. Unlike the traditional candles these candles will not melt as the LED lights are used instead of a wick. These lights are priced between Rs.250 and Rs.7500.



Sheila Mathews of Niyata Creations from Coimbatore a debut participant at this shopping expo has on display and for sale a plethora of home decor products. Every corner of her stall has a unique wall hanging on display. In between attending customers, she shares with us that a few wall hangings have been hand-crafted by her.



At this shopping expo visitors can catch a glimpse of unique products from states across India and artisans from Khadi and village industries from across the state are expected to participate in this shopping expo. Coimbatore Shopping Festival 2016 will have variety entertainment on all days including Pattimandram by Solomon Pappaiah and Team and Tamil folk songs by Pushpavanam Kuppusamy and Anita Kuppusamy and team with orchestra.



This shopping expo has facilities like an in-house food court, massive play area for children, ATM machines and card swiping machines to facilitate cashless shopping. This 10 day shopping festival will conclude on 1 January 2017 and is open to public on all days. Entry fee is Rupees 30 and no entry fee for children below 5 years of age. Visiting hours on all days between 10 am and 8 pm.
