CII and Yi in partnership with city-based hospitals hosts medical camp for permanent employees of CCMC


The Coimbatore chapter of Young Indians (Yi) which is a part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with eight city-based hospitals, this morning, hosted a medical camp for the permanent employees of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) in four corporation schools in our city. Coimbatore corporation commissioner Dr. K. Vijaya Karthikeyan inspected the camp at the Corporation Ammani Ammal Girls High School. A medical camp was hosted at Corporation School at Sidhapudur, Corporation school K K Pudur and at Vokkaliga Corporation school.



Team of doctors from Shankara hospitals, PSG Hospitals, Ramakrishna Hospitals, GKNM, Ganga hospitals, KG hospitals, GEM hospitals, Aravindh eye hospitals and KMCH participated in the camp and provided consultations to the participants. As part of the camp, Thyrocare Hospitals collected 2000 blood samples in a door to door to drive. The blood will be analysed and reports will be handed over to the persons.



Separate sections for registration, for evaluating vital signs like BP, pulse, height and weight check up, general check up, eye check up, OG, dermatology, dental, pharmacy and counselling was organised at the camp. CCMC staff who had themselves checked at the camp were also provided medicines free of cost.



At the Corporation Ammani Ammal Girls High School in R S Puram, the students of this school and students from PSG group and SNR Group volunteered in aiding the participants to the particular sections. Basic facilities like water, refreshments were arranged by the organizers.
