Former employees of city-based company submit petition to collector for settlement of gratuity dues

Former employees of a city-based company under the leadership of P.V. Gopal, have petitioned the Coimbatore collector for settlement of gratuity dues which are pending to them. In the petition they have stated that the management has not provided the 50% gratuity until now according to the agreement reached during a meeting that was hosted in the presence of Assistant commissioner for Labour on 15.07.2004.



“The order of Employees gratuity control officer stated that the settlement of dues should be made within 30 days was also not implemented till now. We request that action is taken against the company management according to the gratuity law.” said one of the petitioner.
