The police have registered a case against N. Arun, B. Pradeep, S. Thirumurthy, and S. Vignesh – all from Koundampalayam village – on charges of harassing a 12-year-old girl.
The police said that the four who went to a grocery shop in Sree Bharathi Nagar on Friday last, pulled the girl’s hand and teased her.
When the girl’s father, and his friend questioned their behaviour, a wordy duel broke out between them.
On Sunday, the four persons returned to the shop and assaulted the girl’s father and his friend.
