Villagers file a petition with the Coimbatore collector seeking patta on private land


About 200 villagers from Kathinaikenpalayam in Kurudamapalayam visited the district collectorate and filed a petition seeking patta on private land.



When speaking to the press they said, “A government land in Kathinaickenpalayam is encroached by some people." They also said that they are planning to conduct a sit-in protest in the land in which they seek a patta. They have also said that even after filing repeated petitions the officials have not taken any action.

As a huge number of people gathered at the district collectorate. this area seemed tense for a while.
