The golden jubilee celebrations of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), and the inauguration of silver jubilee of the car festival was hosted at Annapoorna Kalaiaranagam in RS Puram. Jayapathaga Swami Maharaj, Divisional Secretary and President of Coimbatore ISCKON, Bakthi Vinotha Swami participated in the celebrations.

Jayapathaga Swami Maharaj in his address educated the audience on the various activities of ISCKON. He also announced the construction of Veda planetary temple at Mayapur in West Bengal.

President of ISKCON and Zonal Secretary Bakthi Vinotha Swami in address brought to light the various achievements of the ISKCON society. He insisted that following the spiritual path and traditions are necessary for solving the problems we face in this world today. He also said that “The Radha Krishna temple which is constructed in an area of 60 thousand square feet will be a cultural centre in the city”.
