Not a fair job fair!

Coimbatore Job Fair - 2017, is a job fair organised by a private organization, which had invited applicants from aspiring job seekers to participate in their job fair that was planned to be conducted today.

This job fair was supposed to be hosted at a private college arts and science college, Singanallur. Aspiring graduates and post graduates from regions like Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem and Namakkal had registered for this job fair by paying a registration fee of rupees 300.

This job fair was hosted today, as scheduled. However, it has been reported that organizers of the job fair, failed to keep up their promise. One of the candidates who had registered for this job fair stated that the organisers had promised that about 26 reputed corporate houses will participate in this job fair and offer placement opportunity to registered candidates, upon selection However, to the surprise of the candidates, not even a single large corporate house participated in this job fair.

Following this disappointment, the angry candidates protested at the venue of this job fair demanding a refund of the registration fee. As the crowd got infuriated, the college authorities alerted the Singanallur police who rushed to this venue. The police pacified the agitated participants and dispersed the crowd.
