Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation wins gold award for e-governance

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation won the gold award in the 'Innovative use of ICT by State Government PSUs Co-operatives Federations Societies' category.

None of the state road transport organisations had hitherto bagged the national e-governance gold award since its inception; KSRTC had, however, won the silver award in 2009-10.

The award was handed over to the managing director of KSRTC, Rajendar Kumar by the minister of state for electronics and information technology, and law and justice, P P Chaudhary.

The e-governance award was instituted by the department of administrative reforms and public grievances, government of India, to recognise and promote excellence in the implementation of e-governance initiatives.
