Live Update: Support for Jallikattu at VOC Park grounds getting stronger as more public and students join the protest.

An unprecedented gathering of public and students is presently on-going at the VOC grounds, Coimbatore. Initially, the crowd started with just 50-60 supporters but currently the crowd has reached upto 300-400 supporters.

 



A mix of supporters from students, housewives, common man and surprisingly children were also seen with banners and placards with slogans seeking release of the arrested supporters at Alanganallur and to conduct Jallikattu.

Through social medias like facebook, whatsapp the news of the gathering spread like fire which has tripled the number of supporters in a span of an hour. It is expected that more public and students will be joining this protest.

 



The sight of children with placards voicing their support for the traditional support Jallikattu showed the intense support and their compassion towards Jallikattu amongst the people of Tamil Nadu. 

It is yet to be known if the protestors will continue their protest over night like hosted in Alanganallur or will clear the protest by evening.
