Mahindra and Mahindra India's leading SUV manufacturer today opened a new showroom in Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore. The new showroom with one sales outlet and two service centers will deal with both the commercial and passenger vehicles. The showroom is built in an area of 65789 sq ft. with two sales outlets at R.S. Puram and three state of art workshops for after sales service at Thudiyalur, R.S.Puram in Coimbatore.

Mr.Veejay Ram Nakra, Senior Vice President Sales and customer Care,Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd while addressing the media shared "In the current financial, we have recorded a growth of 34% in the state of Tamil Nadu. Post the announcement of demonetization, there was definitely a dip in the sales but it has bounced back now, as presently the demand for vehicles is on the rise. With 300 dealerships across the country, Mahindra has 10 models and all the models are well-received by the people.
Being a customer centric company, it has always been our endeavor to provide utmost convenience to our customers and offer them the best-in-class sales and service facilities. Hence, we have further expanded our network with our full range dealership in Coimbatore, the inauguration of Rajhsree autos in Coimbatore is in line with our expansion strategy for Tamil Nadu which is an important market for us
To serve the customers of urban areas, we have' launched 'Mahindra Compaq Quick Service Centre' which promises service within 90 minutes. At present there are 130 service centres in Tamil Nadu, well plans of expansion to 300 centres in 12-18 months time are on cards', Senior VP said.
When questioned about the sales -Urban Vs Rural, Veejay Ram Nakra revealed that 'It's the rural areas which contribute to 40% of our sales figure. The real sales growth happens through the rural sector, close to 30% of Mahindra's TUV's and KUV's are sold there. The company has a robust strategy for rural market as we have identified 3000 tehsils across India, out of which 150 tehsils will be from Tamil Nadu'.
'New tehsils, will create new employment. We plan to appoint technicians and marketing executives from the same tehsil so that employment opportunities of that tehsil can be enhanced. The local technicians of Mahindra will be referred as 'Mahindra Mitra Technicians' who will be put through ITI skills. With the advent of GST, we expect a increase in growth percentage. Mahindra has also tied-up with IOCL to facilitate extended services to our customers on the highways' said Senior Vice President, Mahindra & Mahindra.
The dealership will also provide facilities such as easy finance, old vehicle exchange, sale of accessories, extended warranty on new vehicles, quick repair and cashless accident repair etc.
