Finally the Government bends to the people's plea in Tamil Nadu for the conduct of Jallikattu. The ordinance passed by the Tamil Nadu government has been approved by the ministry at the centre. It is expected that the President will approve the ordinance tomorrow which will permit to conduct Jallikattu this year.
While the news of approval of ordinance is trending, the Jallikattu protestors out there in millions across the state have termed it as ''temporary eye-wash'. The protestors are well-informed and tough on their stance claiming such temporary ordinance as a 'drama' as it is valid up to only for six months after which the ban on bull-taming would still continue. 'This ordinance is just passed to clear us off from the protest site', said a protestor from VOC Grounds.
