US Citizen condemns PETA, stands with supporters at VOC Grounds.

Support for Jallikattu from all over the world is gaining momentum every moment. Here, this morning, an US Citizen named John from California, participated in the protests that are being held in the VOC grounds.

Above all, John stood among the Jallikattu supporters and expressed his appreciations to the entire mass of people for standing-up for the cause of protecting their tradition and culture. John, also volunteered to help the supporters clean the trash. Moved by the sight of a foreign citizen clean the trash along with them, the whole mass of crowd appreciated John's high-minded gesture. Also, thanking him whole-heartedly for altering his tour plans just to stand with the people and their genuine cause.

When speaking to SimpliCity, John stated that, “I came to India on 2nd December, 2016. Upon hearing the relentless support for Jallikattu, the traditional bull-taming sport of the Tamilians, I've come to Coimbatore to participate and support the protests'.

When questioned about PETA, John said, 'PETA does not have any fair idea about the culture of the people. PETA is creating unnecessary commotions in all the countries they operate by following an anti people policy. Though PETA as an organisation was stated in the US, a majority of the US citizens are against their policies and operation.

Jallikattu is an event, a festival that needs to be celebrated. The Indian government should respect the feelings of the people in Tamil Nadu.” he said.
