The F-Series (Fashion,Film,Food) Festival 2023 was jointly conducted by the Department of Visual Communication and the Department of Costume Design and Fashion at the Rathinam Auditorium in which over 3,000 students participated.
Coimbatore: The Department of Visual Communication and the Department of Costume Design and Fashion jointly organized the 'F-Series (Fashion,Film,Food) Festival 2023' on March 24 at 6 pm at the Rathinam Auditorium. Over 3,000 students participated in the grand event.
Actress Amritha Aiyer, who has acted in many films including Tamil films such as Bigil, Padaveeran and Lift was the celebrity guest at the event.
Also, there were many other entertainment programs, including a live musical concert by eminent Indian music composer Gowry Lekshmi and her band, Water Drums and a snow DJ by Bro House - a DJ band.
Shima Sendhil, Director - Rathinam Group, Dr. R Manickam, CEO and Secretary, Rathinam Group of Institutions and Dr. S Balasubramanian, Principal, Rathinam College of Arts and Science presided over the gala event.
The event highlights include a short film contest conducted by the Department of Visual Communication and a fashion show conducted by the Department of Costume Design and Fashion, and a food carnival. A total prize worth Rs. 1 lakh was awarded to the winners.
The winners of the Shortfilm Contest are:
1. First prize - "Ezhavu" (Team Pic Media)
2. Second prize - "Vadakkan" (Team Vadakkan)
3. Third prize - "The Last Wish" (Team Berlians)
4. Special mention for Best Cinematography - "Kothai Kalaiyum Pozhudhu" ( Team Kothai Kalaiyum Pozhudhu )
5. Special mention for Best Editing - "Hot and Spicy" (Team Origons)
The winners of the Fashion Show are:
1. First prize - SRM University, Chennai
2. Second prize - Kongu Arts and Science College
3. Third prize - Hindustan Arts and Science College
4. 1st Special mention - Kongu Arts and Science College
5. 2nd Special mention - TIPS College
