Government developing web-based application system to monitor highway projects

Government today said it is developing a web-based application system to monitor the development of highways projects. 

"Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is developing a web-based application system for monitoring of all projects and will put it to operation after its development," Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan told Lok Sabha in a written reply today. 

Regular meetings of Infrastructure Committee headed by Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways are being held for monitoring of projects, he said. 

Apart from this, regular review meetings are held with project developers, state governments and contractors in the head quarter as well as in field offices with the implementing agencies for removing hurdles in timely completion of projects, he added.
