All appointed election personnel must attend training - K. Rajamani, District Election Officer

Coimbatore: "A total of 12,060 election personnel have been appointed for election duty for the upcoming local body polls (rural). First level training for the deputed election staff were held on December 15, and the second and third level will be held on December 21, 26 and 29", sad the District Collector and District Election Officer, K. Rajamani in a press release here on Wednesday.

Rajamani in a press release here on Wednesday. 

He pointed that few election staff have reportedly not attended the training held on December 15. "It has come to notice that some of the polling officers had absented themselves for the training without any valid reasons or prior information. Therefore, I insist that all appointed election personnel should participate in the upcoming trainings with dedication", the Collector said. 

He warned that departmental action will be taken on those who fail to attend the training without permission or valid reasons.
