Coimbatore District Collector declares holiday for schools in Valparai on Thursday due to heavy rains

Due to continuous rains in and around Valparai, motorists have also been advised to drive with utmost care.


Coimbatore: Heavy rains have been lashing several districts in Tamil Nadu and in Coimbatore district, the Western Ghats has been receiving incessant rains.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in Valparai for the next two days. Hence, the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran issued an order declaring a holiday for all educational institutions in Valparai on Thursday, July 7.

Moreover, due to continuous rains in and around Valparai, the Coimbatore district administration and Forest Department have also advised motorists to drive with utmost care.
