Tirupur: The Agriculture Department in Udumalpet has announced that battery sprayers and agricultural implements have come up for sale at subsidised rates for the benefit of farmers of Udumalpet.

Farmers, who are in need of such items can avail of the subsidized farming implements by producing a photo and a copy of the Aadhaar, Chitta and bank passbook.

The battery sprayer is available for sale at subsidized rates at the Udumalai Agriculture And Farmers Welfare Department. The price is quoted as Rs.4450 with a subsidy of 2000.

Further, the following agricultural implements package is sold here at a 50% subsidized rate.

Weed remover-1,

Reaper- 1

Earthen pot-1

These items are also available on subsidy while the full price is Rs 3079.
