Sankara College takes the 'No coke No Pepsi' pledge, promises to sell only Indigenous products.

A spontaneous uprising for ban of coke and pepsi products has begun in the state of Tamil Nadu after the historic Jallikattu protests. Several schools, colleges, commercial establishments and hotels have pledged to ban sale of coke and pepsi at their premise. 

Supporting this moment, Sankara College of Science and Commerce, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore have also expressed their support and have officially announced the ban of coke and pepsi products at their college canteen. Principal of the college, Dr. H. Balakrishnan has stated that, 'From hereon, only indigenous products will be available at your canteen' 

Seconding him, Kalyan, Joint Secretary of the college has stated that, 'Since this is the first day, we are yet to summarize the feedback of the students. But we are hopeful that students will extend their fullest support towards this initiative. Locally manufactured like bovonto and fresh juices will be available hereon'.
