The Coimbatore chapter of Young Indians (Yi) which is a part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and CCMC in partnership with eight city-based hospitals, this morning, hosted 'Healthy Kovai' a comprehensive free medical camp for all the permanent conservancy workers of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) in four corporation schools in our city.
Corporation Girls Higher Secondary schools at Damu Nagar, Ramakrishnapuram, Peelamedu and Chetti Veedhi were the camp locations for today.

Initially, the camp was held in eight other corporation schools during December, 2016. So along with this, the organizers have successfully accomplished 12 camps exclusively for the conservancy workers of Coimbatore corporation. And, it is to be noted that with today's camp 100% of the conservancy workforce of the corporation would have benefited through this free medical camp.

Today morning, the conservancy workers were put through a comprehensive medical check-up comprising of general health, dental, skin and eye care along with evaluation of vitals like blood pressure, diabetic tests, complete hemoglobin analysis, urine analysis were also carried at the camp by Thyrocare.
A dedicated team of doctors from Sankara hospitals, PSG Hospitals, Ramakrishna Hospitals, GKNM, Ganga hospitals, KG hospitals, GEM hospitals, Aravind eye hospitals and KMCH participated in the camp and provided consultation and counselling to the sanitary workers.

Those conservancy workersstaff who had themselves checked at the camp were also provided medicines free of cost and if needed further treatment would also be provided free of cost by the participating hospitals.
