Tamilisai Soundararajan, party president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stated that the statement of Congress leader Su. Thirunavukkarasar that the Central government is controlling the Tamil Nadu government is baseless.
Tamilisai Soundararajan spoke to the press at the Coimbatore International Airport when she was on her way to Tirupur to attend a funeral of Muthu a party functionary who was murdered in Tirupur. She said that “No one has been arrested the cases related to the murders of BJP leaders in Tamil Nadu. There are a lot of questions surrounding the death of Muthu. Prime Minister Modi's picture and BJP flag was found near his body. The persons who are reason for the death of Muthu should be arrested immediately. There is an unsafe environment for ordinary people in Tamil Nadu.”
Commenting on the Jallikattu issue this BJP leader stated “The central government could not do anything with the Jallikattu issue as the case filed by the government is pending in the court. The central government supported the law that was passed by the state government. When the chief minister is thanking the prime minister why is his own party member (Thambidurai) questioning the prime minister? People know the truth. The statement of Congress leader Thirunavukkarasar that the central government is controlling the state government is made without any basic evident”. she said.
