Corporation officials take oath to eradicate Leprosy on Mahatma Gandhi's 69th death anniversary

As today marks the 69 th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, nation-wide campaign for eradication of leprosy has been flagged-off by Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi as a tribute to the father of the nation. Awareness campaigns and rallies have been conducted under the National Leprosy Eradication Programme as today is also observed as anti-leprosy day. 

In this regard, Sparsh leprosy oath was taken at the Coimbatore Corporation office led by Deputy corporation commissioner, P. Gandhimathi. The officials took the oath on eradication of leprosy along with treating those infected with dignity.  Officials and staff from Corporation took part in this anti-leprosy oath taking ceremony.
