Arumughaswamy report on Jayalalithaa's death is not professional: PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss

Speaking to reporters at the Coimbatore airport, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss stated that the police should learn from the instance of Justice Aruna Jagadeesan's statement on the Sterilite firing.

Coimbatore: Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader Anbumani Ramadoss arrived at Coimbatore to attend various programmes. Addressing the media at the Coimbatore airport, Anbumani Ramadoss raised several issues.

"Justice Arumughaswamy's statement on the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is not professional and politics can be done using that statement. Technically, nothing has been said about it. There is a question of whether it will be taken up in the Assembly. Justice Aruna Jagadeesan's statement on Sterlite firing should be accepted. The police should learn from this as a lesson," opined Anbumani Ramadoss.

He further said, "The hosiery industry in India is predominantly concentrated in the Kongu region. Of these, orders have dropped by 40 percent now. Also, why hasn't the Athikadavu project been completed yet? From the Parambikulam Dam, 12 TMC of water has been wasted. This should not happen again. Moreover, the Parambikulam-Aliyar project and the Pandiyar Ponnambala project should be negotiated and resolved. This is a two-state issue between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu should correct this."

PMK's Anbumani Ramadoss also felt that Coimbatore needs more medical colleges. "There is no democracy where 12 bills have been passed without discussion in a single day. Also, drug addiction is on the rise in Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister is focusing on this but it is not enough. There are not enough guards in this department. Omni bus fares should be reduced. I came from Chennai by flight and it cost me Rs. 3,300. The same is the case with Omni buses. Private companies should also reduce the price of milk. They are hiking prices like the mafia considering that prices have been hiked four times in a year," highlighted Anbumani Ramadoss.

"TASMAC sales is being targeted for Diwali. There is no decline in the financial growth that comes from TASMAC. Even if the Government's revenue is 33 per cent, it is a loss. The loss is upto Rs 1.5 lakh crore. Instead aim for education, target for vaccination, not drinking. This is bad for the Government," opined Anbumani Ramadoss.
