The public presented their petitions at the grama sabha meeting held in ward number 4 Stanmore Athu Mattam area of Valparai in Coimbatore on the occasion of local body day.
Coimbatore: Grama Sabha meetings were held across Tamil Nadu yesterday. The grama sabha meeting will be held on November 1, the local body day.
The objective of this Grama sabha meeting is to create awareness about the schemes among the rural people and to ensure transparency in all the functions of the government is to encourage people's participation.

The gram sabha meeting was held in the Stanmore Athu Mattam area in the presence of city council president Alagusundaravalli and Municipal Commissioner Balu and Municipal Engineer Venkatachalam and Municipal Manager Salahuddin.
The meeting was attended by people from Stanmore and Athumattam area under ward 4.
The public wrote down the problems in the area as petitions and handed over a memorandum to ward member J Bhaskar, municipal commissioners and the city council president.
The council president said the petition would be heard immediately at the city council meeting and a solution would be found immediately.
