'Peace march to be held in Coimbatore on Nov. 17:' Puthiya Tamizhagam Party President, Dr. Krishnasamy

Puthiya Tamizhagam Party President, Dr. Krishnasamy has appealed to the public to participate in the Peace March being organized on November 17, to highlight the need to create peace and social harmony.

Coimbatore: Puthiya Tamizhagam Party President, Dr. Krishnasamy held a press conference at his residence in the Kuniyamuthur area of Coimbatore.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Krishnasamy said, "The city of Coimbatore should be happy to defeat the forces behind the bomb blasts, as well as religious and communal riots in Coimbatore. In order to promote peace and social harmony in Coimbatore city, we are planning to hold a peace rally in Coimbatore on November 17, with the participation of all educational institutions, industry, business establishments, religious and social organisations. All members of the public should come forward to participate in it. While the DMK had announced in its election manifesto that electricity tariffs would be brought under control, even after a year and a half of forming the Government, the electricity tariffs have not reduced but only increased further. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are suffering due to the increase in electricity tariff. Therefore, the Government should implement the system of calculating electricity bills once a month. Demonstrations will be held in Virudhunagar on November 2, Tenkasi on November 3, Tirunelveli on November 4 and Thoothukudi on November 5 to demand uninterrupted 24-hour power supply," reiterated Dr. Krishnasamy.
