Anti-Corruption Week: Bank of India organises awareness rally in Coimbatore

As anti-corruption week is being observed across the country from October 31 to November 6, to create awareness among the public about corruption. The Bank of India is organizing various programmes in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: Anti-Corruption Week is being observed across the country from October 31 to November 6 every year. Accordingly, awareness is being created among the public by various government departments with the objective of "Corruption-free India to become a developed nation" this year.

As a part of this, the Bank of India in Coimbatore is organizing various programmes to create awareness among the public about corruption.

Earlier, a speech competition and essay competition was held among school children on the theme "Corruption-free India to become a developed nation".



This was followed by a human chain and walkathon awareness programme on behalf of bank employees today.



More than 30 people participated in the walkathon programme that began at the VOC ground and raised anti-corruption banners to create awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, Bank of India's Coimbatore Regional Manager Anbumani urged the public to refrain from paying bribes at government-related places, especially in foreign countries.

He expressed confidence that if students are made aware of bribery while studying in school, the future generation will become a corruption-free India.

Bank of India Regional Deputy Manager Munusamy, Coimbatore Branch Bank Assistant General Manager Ramdas, Industrial Relations Department Chief Manager Praveena and others were present on the occasion.
