The 'ICAI MSME Yatra' is being held for 75 days with 75 programs in 75 cities to recognize the role played by the Chartered Accountants in strengthening the MSMEs as the backbone of the Indian economy.
Coimbatore: As part of the 75th Independence Day, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India kick-started on Friday, November 4 in Coimbatore, the 'ICAI MSME Yatra' for 75 days with 75 programs in 75 cities to recognize the role played by the Chartered Accountants in strengthening the MSMEs as the backbone of the Indian economy.

The 'ICAI MSME Yatra' 2022 was flagged off by the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran from his residence at Race Course, Coimbatore.

Along with the Easwar, Chairman of the Auditor Association of Southern India and the CA Institute Branch Chairman, N V Palaniswamy, Vice Chairman D Nagakumar, Treasurer Rahul, CA Student Association Chairman Sarvajith, Committee Members Thangavel and Sathish. Former Southern India Chairman, K Jalapathy and former Chairmen of the Branch were also present. The Tamil Nadu Government is the first in the Country to sign the MoU with ICAI for MSME.

The Yatra vehicle will travel across the city and halt at prominent locations to share information about the MSME Schemes with the general public.

Members of ICAI will travel in the vehicle to distribute flyers/brochures about MSMEs and other schemes to the public.
On Friday evening between 4.30 pm and 7.30 pm, a seminar on MSME schemes is being held at the Thudiyalur Branch premises of ICAI. Coimbatore Mayor, Kalpana Ananthakumar inaugurated the seminar. Eminent faculty members and representatives from various financial institutions are present and will address the gathering about the MSME policy/schemes. Members from the Chartered Accountants fraternity, entrepreneurs, members from various professional/industrial bodies will also be participating.
