A 4-feet tall idol of Lord Murugan confiscated from house near Ukkadam bypass in Coimbatore

Acting on a tip-off received by the Idol wing police, an idol of Lord Murugan was found in the house of Bhaskaran Swamy on the Ukkadam-Selvapuram bypass in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: A 4-feet tall idol of Lord Murugan was recovered from the house of Bhaskaran Swamy on the Ukkadam-Selvapuram highway in Coimbatore.



Acting on a tip-off received by the Idol wing police, an idol of Lord Murugan was found in the house of Bhaskaran Swamy. More than 15 police personnel, led by DSP Chandrasekhar, raided his house.



During a three-hour search, it was found that there was a 4-foot idol of Lord Murugan in the house.



Officials have seized the statue and are investigating the matter.

In this case, Bhaskaran Swamy said that he was doing the work of making the idol and that the idol found in the house was also made by him. He also reportedly showed a video of the making to the police.



However, the police are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter checking the antiquity of the statue and other relevant details.
