In connection with the car blast in Coimbatore, the NIA officials from Coimbatore raided Yusuf's residence on Venkateswara Nagar 6th Street in Tirupur and then took him to Tirupur South police station to interrogate him.
Tirupur: While the Coimbatore police arrested six persons in connection with the car explosion in front of Kottai Easwaran temple in Coimbatore on October 23 in which Jamesha Mubin was killed, the case thereafter was also handed over to the NIA officials.
Following an intelligence alert, the NIA has been conducting searches at more than 40 locations across Tamil Nadu, on Thursday. As part of this, the NIA has been interrogating Yusuf, a native of Tirupur and a relative of Jamesha Mubin since Thursday morning.
The NIA officials who had come from Coimbatore in a hired car raided Yusuf's residence on Venkateswara Nagar 6th Street and then took him to Tirupur South police station and interrogated him for three hours.
Yusuf was sent back home after the interrogation was over.
