Coimbatore city has not been affected due to incessant rains - Minister Senthil Balaji in Pollachi

Minister Senthil Balaji said that major rainwater logging in Coimbatore was prevented as precautionary measures were taken after reviewing the damage caused by the rains in the last year.

Coimbatore: The first round of job counselling was held at Pollachi in Coimbatore district on the sidelines of a private sector placement camp. Ministers Senthil Balaji, C V Ganesan and others participated in the meeting.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Minister C V Ganesan said, “We have provided employment opportunities in 1.7 lakh private industries. A job fair will be held in Pollachi on The 27th.

The scheme is being implemented by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to change the trend of no work in Tamil Nadu. We will provide employment opportunities to 5 lakh youth. It is the leading state in the field of education in India with 51%. 2800 crore has been allocated for vocational training centres.”

Following this, Minister Senthil Balaji spoke to the media and said “Several measures were taken to ensure that there was no impact on the rains due to Rainwater logging like previous years.

A study was conducted to assess the damage caused in the last year and take precautionary measures this year. 32 canal works have been completed. Rainwater logging area has been avoided from being affected by the inspection.

There is a steady supply of electricity throughout Tamil Nadu. There are activities under the chairmanship of the Collector. Works have been taken up to prevent rainwater logging in coimbatore corporation area.

There was no impact on heavy rains. The motors are ready. The work is being carried out despite heavy rains. The district collector and municipal commissioner will visit the affected areas.

Power supply has not been affected in any place across Tamil Nadu. 11,000 people have been recruited to carry out special works through the Electricity Board. The Electricity Board and committees are attached to the District Collectorate.

This is due to the good precautionary measures taken by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. In Coimbatore, there is no impact of unprecedented rains. Power projects have not been implemented in the last ten years.

Tamil Nadu has the lowest electricity tariff in India for small and micro enterprises. The corporation and the highways department are in the process of repairing the roads.
