Over 250 students from Government and private schools participated in the tournament.
Sri Krishna Arts and Science College hosted a district-level chess tournament as part of its 25th Jubilee celebrations which was held at Sri Krishna Hall on November 18.
The Department of Physical Education, SKASC organised the district-level chess tournament for over 250 students comprising both boys and girls of Government and private schools.

In the Under- 14 category, Meiyappan M -BVB School won the first place while Vetriselvan A - Swathanthra School bagged the second place. Rahul - K Vidhya Niketan Public School secured the third place.
In the Under- 17 category, the first place was bagged by Nandish V S - BVB School while the second place was secured by Vasanthi S - Kendriya Vidyalaya. The third place was secured by Pravin P - Hindustan School.

In the Under-19 category, the first place was won by Mukesh C - Amirta Vishwa Vidyapeetham School, while the second place was secured by Vibhakar Venkatakrishnan National Model School. Shalini J of Krishnammal School secured the third place.
The chess tournament was inaugurated by Dr. R Jagajeevan, Principal of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College who also awarded the prizes to the winners.
