Meanwhile, a state - wide protest is being held on Tuesday on behalf of the Madhar Sangam.

Shanti Chandran, the Coimbatore District Convenor of the All India Madhar Sangam stated that the rise in property tax, milk prices and electricity bills has severely affected the common man, who earns less than Rs. 300 a day. Therefore, she requested the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin to reduce taxes and roll back the price hike.
